Persija Beaten by Semen Padang, Drops Out of Top Four

Persija Jakarta failed to maintain their position in the top four after suffering a 2-0 defeat to Semen Padang in the 30th week of the 2024–2025 Liga 1 at Pakansari Stadium, Bogor.

The team led by Carlos Pena — now sitting in fifth place with 47 points — had to admit the superiority of the visitors, who scored through Firman Juliansyah in the 19th minute and Bruno Gomes in the 44th.

Persija director, Mohamad Prapanca, who could not hide his disappointment, criticized the team’s declining performance toward the end of the season — especially considering the initial target of finishing in the top four.
