Persib Bandung to Use 2025 President’s Cup as Preparation Tournament

Bojan Hodak‘s Persib Bandung will use the 2025 President’s Cup as preparation for the main competition — considering their very limited preparation time.

The Bandung Tigers will only begin their training camp on June 30, 2025, while the tournament is scheduled to start on July 6, 2025 — leaving just five days of preparation after a long break.

The 2025 President’s Cup tournament format is divided into two groups:

• Group A: Arema FC (defending champions), Oxford United, Indonesia All Star
• Group B: Persib Bandung, Port FC, Dewa United

With this tight schedule, Persib chooses not to push too hard in the tournament — the main focus is avoiding injuries ahead of the upcoming Liga 1 season.
