Persebaya Surabaya Could Appoint New Head Coach for Next Season

According to Bolasport.com, Persebaya Surabaya is reportedly rethinking their head coach position ahead of the new Liga 1 season.

Current coach Paul Munster had a solid start to the 2024–2025 campaign, even leading the standings for several weeks. But things took a turn in the second half of the season.

The team’s form dropped off, and now they sit in third place with 48 points — just one behind Dewa United, but a full nine points adrift of league leaders Persib Bandung.

With a title challenge slipping out of reach, Persebaya management is reportedly preparing a full evaluation, including whether Munster will stay on for next season.

A decision is expected soon, as the club looks to get back on track before the next campaign begins.
