Persebaya risks losing foreign player ahead of Liga 1 2025/2026

Persebaya Surabaya becomes the first club to fulfill their foreign player quota for Liga 1 2025/2026 — regulations allow each team to register eight non-local players.

Five foreign players retained from the previous season are Dejan Tumbas, Dime Dimov, Fransisco Rivera, Flavio Silva, and Bruno Moreira.

Three new recruits completing the Bajul Ijo squad:

• Gali Freitas
• Risto Mitrevski
• Milos Raickovic

However, Persebaya’s squad situation might change — Flavio Silva reportedly received an offer from South African club Kaizer Chiefs.
