Persebaya Holds Training Camp in Australia Ahead of Liga 1 Season

Persebaya Surabaya is currently holding a training camp in Australia as part of their preparation for the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season. The team is training at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, a modern facility known for its high-quality pitches and professional environment.

Head coach Eduardo Pérez praised the training conditions, particularly the quality of the field despite rainy weather during sessions.

“No, this is very good,” said Pérez when asked whether the rain had affected the pitch.

“The field is well maintained and suits our needs perfectly.”

The Green Force are using the camp to sharpen tactical play and improve team cohesion ahead of a competitive season. The short, well-groomed grass at the Sam Kerr Football Centre has provided optimal conditions for developing quick-passing strategies and structured buildup play — aspects Pérez is prioritizing in training.

Persebaya is scheduled to return to Surabaya and officially kick off their campaign with a launching match against PSS Sleman on July 19. The Australia camp marks a key part of their pre-season program, designed to elevate fitness, focus, and technical execution before entering domestic competition.
