Persebaya and Malut United await ASEAN Club Championship draw

Two Indonesian Liga 1 clubs – Persebaya Surabaya and Malut United will learn their ASEAN Club Championship 2025/26 opponents through tomorrow’s draw.

Malut United who finished third and Persebaya Surabaya who placed fourth in last season’s Liga 1 – show different levels of preparation heading into this regional competition.

Persebaya Surabaya appears more prepared with the appointment of Eduardo Perez as new head coach replacing Paul Munster. The club owned by Azrul Ananda has also strengthened their squad with quality recruits.
