Pernat: Quartararo’s British MotoGP Failure Not His Fault

Carlo Pernat, a respected figure in MotoGP, has come to the defense of Fabio Quartararo, stating that the Frenchman’s failure to win the 2025 British MotoGP at Silverstone Circuit was not due to rider error.

Strong Start Undone by Technical Setback

Known as El Diablo, Quartararo had demonstrated his prowess early in the weekend, securing his third consecutive pole position despite the performance limitations of his Yamaha YZR-M1.

In a race that was red-flagged midway, Quartararo led convincingly, staying ahead of Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia Racing) and taking full advantage of mistakes made by Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia, both representing Ducati.

Ride Height Device Ruins Victory Chances

Just as Quartararo looked poised to end his winless streak this season, a malfunction in his ride height device dashed those hopes. The issue forced him to lose crucial speed and balance, costing him a potential podium or even a win in Round 7 of the 2025 season.
