Penalty Drama Changes Victory at Nürburgring 24 Hours Race

Rowe BMW team — with drivers Raffaele Marciello, Kelvin van der Linde, Jesse Krohn, and Augusto Farfus — secured victory at the Nürburgring 24 Hours Race after Porsche Manthey EMA team received post-race penalty.

Porsche #911 driven by Kevin Estre, Ayhancan Guven, and Thomas Preining initially led the race — but a 100-second penalty was given to Estre following a collision with an Aston Martin GT4 during lapping.

The race faced early challenges when power outage in pits caused red flag for over two hours. BMW #98 managed to recover from ninth position after racing resumed — closing more than two and half minutes gap by dawn.

Third position went to #54 Dinamic Porsche driven by Bastian Buus, Matteo Cairoli, Loek Hartog, and Joel Sturm after Lamborghini #28 suffered driveshaft failure in final 30 minutes.

This marks second victory for Rowe team at this circuit — and first wins for Marciello and Krohn. Farfus claimed his second trophy after 15 years, while van der Linde collected his third title.
