Pedro Acosta rumored to join Valentino Rossi’s team

According to Bolasport.com, Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing team is targeting Pedro Acosta to join Valentino Rossi’s Ducati satellite team.

The rumor emerged during the 2025 Czech MotoGP at Brno Circuit — the young KTM rider is expected to replace either Franco Morbidelli or Fabio Di Giannantonio.

Both current VR46 riders have shown competitive performance — each collecting two podiums up to the 12th round of this season.

Although not a VR46 academy product, Acosta, nicknamed El Tiburon, shows great potential — despite often struggling to reach podiums with the KTM RC-16 motorcycle. The rider dubbed as Marc Marquez’s successor is considered a valuable future asset for the team.
