Pedro Acosta Hails KTM’s Progress after Czech GP Podium

BRNO — Spanish MotoGP rising star Pedro Acosta expressed renewed optimism in KTM’s MotoGP project after clinching a podium finish at the 2025 Czech Grand Prix — marking a significant step forward for both rider and manufacturer in the championship.

The 20-year-old rookie, who joined the premier class with GasGas Tech3 (KTM satellite team), secured third place at Brno, finishing behind Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín. The result not only highlighted Acosta’s immense talent but also reflected KTM’s improved competitiveness after a challenging start to the 2025 season.

“We’ve worked really hard with the team, and this podium is a reward,” Acosta said post-race.

“The bike felt much better — especially in braking and corner exit. I think we’ve turned a corner.”

Turning point for KTM’s 2025 MotoGP campaign

After struggling with setup consistency and rear grip issues earlier this season, KTM introduced a series of technical upgrades ahead of the Czech GP — including chassis modifications and electronics refinements. The improvements paid off immediately, with Acosta running comfortably in the top five throughout the weekend.

KTM factory rider Brad Binder also showed strong pace, narrowly missing out on a podium in fourth, giving the Austrian manufacturer plenty to be encouraged about.

“The whole KTM family has been working non-stop,” Acosta added.

“There’s still more to come, but this shows we are on the right path.”

Acosta’s rookie campaign gaining momentum

Since debuting in MotoGP earlier this year, Acosta has consistently shown flashes of brilliance. The Brno podium was his second top-five finish of the season and his first time on the premier class rostrum — a clear signal that he’s adapting quickly to the demands of MotoGP.

Widely regarded as a future world champion, the 2023 Moto2 title winner has impressed with his fearless riding style, racecraft, and ability to extract performance under pressure.

“It’s only my first season, but I’m learning fast,” said Acosta.

“I want to keep building on this and fight at the front more often.”

Eyes on Austria

KTM now heads into its home race at the Red Bull Ring in Austria with renewed confidence. Team principals believe the Czech GP result could mark a turning point for the rest of the 2025 campaign, as both Acosta and Binder aim to close the gap on the Ducati-dominated front runners.

If the momentum continues, Pedro Acosta might just become a regular fixture on the podium — and a wildcard threat in the title conversation sooner than expected.
