Pearly Tan/Thinaah Win Women’s Doubles at Thailand Open

Pearly Tan/Thinaah Muralitharan made history for Malaysia by becoming the country’s first women’s doubles champions at the Thailand Open 2025, according to BWFBadminton.

The top-seeded pair defeated Jeong Na-eun/Lee Yeon-woo of South Korea with a score of 21-16, 21-17 in a 58-minute final held at Nimibutr Stadium, Bangkok.

The victory marks Pearly Tan and Thinaah Muralitharan’s first title of the year, serving as redemption after an early exit from the Malaysia Open a few months ago.

“Honestly, this means a lot. We didn’t start the year well, but we never lost faith in each other,” said Muralitharan.

“We kept reminding ourselves to stay confident and continue to believe in one another. We had many discussions about how to deal with our opponents’ strategies, and it worked out well,” added Tan.
