Patrick Kluivert reveals the state of Indonesian football before Australia match

Patrick Kluivert — Indonesia’s National Team coach has completed his Liga 1 observation period alongside his assistants ahead of the match against Australia.

After approximately two months of monitoring domestic competition, Kluivert decided to call up eight Liga 1 players for March FIFA Matchday:

• Septian Bagaskara
• Ramadhan Sananta
• Nadeo Argawinata
• Rizky Ridho
• Muhammad Ferarri
• Hokky Caraka
• Ernando Ari

During the pre-match press conference against Australia, Kluivert shared his objective assessment of Indonesian football’s current state.

“Well, Indonesian football, especially local, is really being built,” said Kluivert.

The Dutch coach sees wide-open development potential — though he cannot yet call the conditions ideal.
