Patrick Kluivert Calls Up 11 Liga 1 Players to National Team

The Indonesia national football team coaching staff led by Patrick Kluivert has called up eleven players from Liga 1 2024/2025 — including Ernando Ari, Reza Arya, Nadeo Argawinata, Rizky Ridho, Ricky Kambuaya, Yakob Sayuri, Yance Sayuri, Septian Bagaskara, Ramadhan Sananta, Stefano Lilipaly, and Egy Maulana Vikri.

Sumardji explained that the decision was made after extensive scouting in Liga 1 matches.

“We repeatedly monitored matches in several Liga 1 2024/2025 clubs. The observations were conducted by the Indonesia national team coaching staff, including coach Patrick Kluivert, coach Denny Landzaat, and coach Alex Pastoor,” said Sumardji.

“Initially, we planned to call only 28 players, but we increased the number to 32. Why? Because it was based on the coaches’ scouting results,” he added.

This call-up gives local players a chance to compete with overseas-based players for a spot in the Indonesia national team’s main squad.
