Pascal Wehrlein ready to face Le Mans 24 Hours debut challenge

Pascal Wehrlein, former Formula 1 driver and Formula E champion, has expressed his readiness for his Le Mans 24 Hours debut with Porsche Penske Motorsport.

The German driver — who has already shown positive results at Daytona 24 Hours and Spa-Francorchamps 6 Hours — will pilot the #4 Porsche 963 alongside Felipe Nasr and Nick Tandy.

Wehrlein’s experience across various racing categories — from DTM to Formula 1 — serves as valuable foundation in adapting to the LMDh car. He notes that the significant differences between Formula E and LMDh cars actually make the transition easier.

“I’ve driven many categories in my career, so in general I have a very good understanding of what a car needs to be quick,” Wehrlein explained.

His experienced teammates — Nasr with six appearances and Tandy with 13 Le Mans starts — have provided valuable input. Wehrlein’s preparation focuses mainly on race procedures, traffic management, and fuel-saving strategies.
