Pascal Struijk and Leeds United have secured a triumphant return to the Premier League after a dominant 6-0 victory over Stoke City at Elland Road on Monday (April 21). The emphatic win firmly placed The Whites at the top of the EFL Championship standings with 94 points from 44 matches.

Their position in the automatic promotion zone is now mathematically unreachable for third-placed Sheffield United, who have 86 points with only two matches left. Under the Championship promotion system, the top two teams earn direct promotion to the Premier League, while the third promotion spot is determined via play-offs between the 3rd to 6th place finishers.

Burnley FC, led by Scott Parker, also earned Premier League promotion after a critical 2-1 win against Sheffield United in a recent head-to-head clash. The Clarets now sit level on points with Leeds United, both tied at 94 points, setting up an exciting finish for the Championship title.

This return to the Premier League marks a major milestone for Leeds United, following their relegation in the 2022–2023 season. The club’s rebuilding under new leadership has paid off with consistent performances, and they now look forward to competing again among England’s football elite.
