Paper Rex Reiterates Mindfreak’s Future Amid Changes

Paper Rex has assured that Aaron “mindfreak” Leonheart will remain with the team, despite roster changes ahead of Masters Toronto circuit that concluded last week.

The Indonesian last played for the team early in VCT Pacific 2025: Stage 1. He was then replaced by new Filipino recruit Patrick “PatMen” Mendoza, who has performed exceptionally well ever since. This led to fan concerns that the veteran sentinel was no longer part of PRX.

Head coach Alexandre “alecks” Sallé addressed this during a Q&A session in Toronto. He stated that mindfreak is still a vital part of the team, valued for his insights and his brotherly relationship with the players.

Mindfreak himself also responded to the speculation during a livestream. He emphasized that he doesn’t care about potential offers from other teams due to his strong commitment to PRX.

At the moment, mindfreak mostly works as an assistant coach to alecks. He is expected to stay in this role at least until the upcoming EWC 2025. However, based on recent matches, he could potentially step in as a backup player if needed.
