Palembang Bank SumselBabel Defeats Surabaya Samator in Proliga 2025 Final Four Clash

Palembang Bank SumselBabel secured a crucial win over Surabaya Samator in the opening round of the Proliga 2025 Final Four, held at GOR Jatidiri, Semarang.

The team from Palembang — who lost the opening set 35-37 — bounced back strongly to dominate the next three sets with scores of 25-15, 25-15, and 25-20.

Assistant coach Memet Tarmedi explained that the first set loss was not due to performance issues.

“In the first set, we were overheated as we arrived earlier than the others. The only problem was the lack of communication,” said Memet to the media.

“Actually, we tried to take the side out… but thankfully, in the following sets we found our rhythm and communication improved,” he added.

This victory boosts Palembang Bank SumselBabel’s chances of reaching the Proliga 2025 grand final, and provides strong momentum for their next matches in the Final Four round.
