Pakistan claims dramatic victory over Taiwan in AVC Nations Cup Group C final

Pakistan men’s national volleyball team secured the top position in Group C of AVC Nations Cup 2025 after defeating Taiwan with a score of 3-2 (25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 16-25, 18-16) at Hall Isa Bin Rashed, Bahrain.

This match became the second five-set battle in the tournament — following yesterday’s dramatic victory of Indonesia over Thailand in Group A with an identical score pattern.

Pakistan now awaits the result of the match between Indonesia and Bahrain in the Group A final — which will determine their quarter-final opponent. The Group A winner will face Taiwan, while the runner-up will meet Pakistan.

In the opening set, Pakistan took immediate control with a 12-6 lead. Taiwan managed to reduce the gap to 10-13 and 12-15, but their service errors allowed Pakistan to pull away again. Despite Wen Yu Weh’s successful counterattacks, Pakistan maintained their advantage to close the set at 25-20.
