Pacific Reps Still Indecided as RRQ and Gen.G Head to Decider Matches

RRQ Pacific Stage 1

Two Pacific Valorant representatives, RRQ and Gen.G, have failed to join Paper Rex in the Valorant EWC 2025 playoffs after suffering defeats in their respective groups today. Their fate now rests on decisive matches tomorrow.

Both teams started Day 1 strong with convincing wins against Titan Esports Club and EDward Gaming. However, this positive momentum didn’t last. Disappointing second-match losses stopped them from securing early playoff spots.

North American star NRG effectively used early-game leads in both halves to defeat RRQ. Meanwhile, EMEA giants Fnatic nearly lost the first half to Gen.G but regained map control to suppress the Korean team’s challenge and maintained their strategy to topple both games.

These results leave RRQ and Gen.G tied for second place in their groups with 1-1 records. They must now use their limited time to overhaul strategies and mentally prepare for tomorrow’s win-or-go-home matches against the winners of today’s EWC 2025 elimination games.

In Group A, RRQ awaits the winner between Heretics and Titan Esports, while Gen.G will face whoever emerges victorious from the 100 Thieves vs. EDG matchup in Group B.
