Oxford United yet to confirm participation in 2025 President’s Cup

Oxford United – the English League Two club owned by Indonesian businessmen Anindya Bakrie and Erick Thohir – has announced their preseason match schedule without including the 2025 President’s Cup.

PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir previously announced Oxford United’s planned participation in this preseason tournament.

“We have Oxford United where Ole happens to play. We know Ole is our star now, unfortunately three goals in four games, not yesterday, because it was tough against Japan,” said Thohir.

According to PSSI’s plans, Oxford United is projected to be the second foreign club participating in the 2025 President’s Cup – following Thailand’s Port FC which has Indonesian player Asnawi Mangkualam.
