Oxford United ready for pre-season tour in Indonesia

Oxford United — an English League One club owned by Indonesian businessmen Anindya Bakrie and Erick Thohir — will conduct a pre-season tour to Indonesia.

The U’s are scheduled to compete in the 2025 President’s Cup with matches against Indonesia All Stars on July 6 and Arema FC on July 10. If successful, they have a chance to appear in either the third-place playoff or final.

Coach Gary Rowett welcomes this pre-season tour plan — something typically reserved for Premier League’s top-tier clubs.
