Oxford United Proud of Ole Romeny’s Performance with Indonesian National Team

Oxford United has publicly expressed their pride in Ole Romeny’s recent performances with the Indonesian national team, where he has quickly emerged as a key attacking figure.

A Breakthrough Year for Romeny

The 24-year-old striker’s journey has been eventful in 2024. He joined Oxford United in January — his first professional stint outside the Netherlands — and then made the major decision to switch his nationality to Indonesian the following month.

Immediate Impact at Club and Country

Despite arriving mid-season without the benefit of preseason preparation, Romeny has shown promise in the English League One, scoring one goal in 14 appearances for Oxford United.

His performances have been even more impressive on the international stage. Since making his debut for Indonesia in March, Romeny has scored three goals in just three caps, instantly becoming a fan favorite and a crucial part of coach Shin Tae-yong’s system.
