Oxford United needs new striker despite having Wales national team player

Oxford United faces a serious dilemma regarding their attacking line — the club must recruit a new striker despite already having Wales and Indonesia national team forwards.

Mark Harris, who became the club’s top scorer this season, only managed to score six goals in the Championship, although his performance was enough to earn a call-up to Craig Bellamy’s Wales national team.

The club nicknamed The U’s nearly got relegated this season — finishing 17th with only four points above the relegation zone. In the January transfer window, management brought in two strikers:

  • Tom Bradshaw
  • Ole Romeny

However, Bradshaw’s age over 30 means he cannot be a long-term solution for the club.
