Oxford United coach amazed by President’s Cup 2025 atmosphere

Gary Rowett, Oxford United’s head coach, expressed his admiration for the President’s Cup 2025 match atmosphere — an experience he found truly remarkable.

In their opening match at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta, Rowett’s team faced Indonesia All-Star — a game that attracted around 40 thousand spectators to the stadium.

“The match was very interesting, a good start. We had 40,000 Indonesian fans there, enthusiastically supporting all players, I’m sure,” said Rowett.

Although Oxford United won convincingly with a score of 6-1 — the English coach appreciated the solid resistance shown by the Indonesia All-Star team throughout the match.
