Oxford United arrives in Indonesia for 2025 President’s Cup

English Championship club Oxford United — owned by PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir and businessman Anindya Bakrie — has arrived in Indonesia to participate in the 2025 President’s Cup.

The team nicknamed The U’s received an enthusiastic welcome from journalists who immediately surrounded coach Gary Rowett upon landing Thursday afternoon. The arrival moment was captured and shared through the club’s official Instagram account @oufcofficial with the caption:

“An Indonesia welcome”

Oxford United brings two Indonesian national team players in their squad — Marselino Ferdinan and Ole Romeny. In this tournament, The U’s will compete against other foreign clubs including Port FC from Thailand.
