Owen Rahadian Aims to Develop Papua Football via Persipura

Owen Rahadian — the new manager and director of PT Persipura Jayapura — has ambitious plans to develop football in the Papua region.

Persipura Jayapura — the club with four championship stars on its logo — is one of the important icons in Indonesian football that has achieved success at the Asian level.

Rahadian emphasized that developing the club requires a long-term strategy — focusing not just on one or two years ahead.

The immediate program will be to scout the best young talents from Papua to join Mutiara Hitam — the nickname of Persipura Jayapura.
