Oscar Piastri Performs ‘Griddy’ Dance After Historic Miami GP Victory

Oscar Piastri Celebrates Miami GP Victory with Viral ‘Griddy’ Dance

Oscar Piastri made a memorable celebration after securing his third consecutive victory at the Miami Grand Prix. The Australian driver performed the viral ‘Griddy’ dance, showcasing his joy and commitment to the sport, while also extending his lead over teammate Lando Norris.

A Bet with NFL Star Justin Jefferson Sparks the Dance

The dance came as a result of a playful bet with NFL player Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings. The 24-year-old driver had promised to perform the dance if he secured a victory.

“That was an attempt at a griddy. As you can tell, poorly executed,” Piastri humorously admitted after executing the move in parc fermé.

Surprising Victory for Piastri and Unprepared Dance

After qualifying in fourth place, Piastri had not expected to take the top spot on the podium. In fact, he had not practiced the dance before the race, which made his spontaneous performance all the more entertaining.

Justin Jefferson Reacts to Piastri’s Celebration on Social Media

Justin Jefferson, who had previously visited Hard Rock Stadium and taught Piastri his signature touchdown dance, quickly took to social media X to express his excitement.

OSCARRRRRR!!! LETS GOOOOO,” Jefferson exclaimed in his reaction to Piastri’s win and dance celebration.
