Opel Launches First Electric Rally Car Meeting FIA eRally5 Standards

German automotive manufacturer, Opel, has officially unveiled the Mokka GSE Rally, marking a historic milestone as the first electric rally car developed under the FIA eRally5 regulations.

Following the proven success of the Corsa Rally Electric in the ADAC Opel Electric Rally Cup, Opel now sets its sights on the future of sustainable motorsport by showcasing its latest innovation at the ELE Rally Eindhoven.

Technical Specifications and Rally-Ready Features

Designed to deliver Rally4-equivalent performance, the Mokka GSE Rally comes packed with high-performance components:

  • Peak Power: 207 kW (280 hp)

  • Torque: 345 Nm

  • Multi-plate limited-slip differential

  • Motorsport-specific transmission

  • Reinforced drive shafts and wheel hubs

These features reflect Opel’s ambition to produce a competitive, electric rally machine that meets the rigorous standards of international rallying.
