After securing a decisive 4-1 victory, Onic PH claimed the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series 2025 trophy at the Senayan Indoor Tennis Stadium, Jakarta, on Sunday, April 14. Facing RRQ Hoshi in the grand final, they cemented their status as a tactical powerhouse.

From the start, Onic PH and RRQ were favored as finalists due to their consistent and effective performances throughout the competition. Both teams remained undefeated in the group stage, showcasing strategic flexibility that made them unpredictable opponents.

Their dominant group-stage results led many spectators to expect a fiercely contested final, with RRQ holding a slight edge as the home team. However, for the RRQ Kingdom fans packing the venue that afternoon, the best-of-seven series unfolded far differently than anticipated.

In Game 1, Onic PH stunned the crowd by overturning RRQ’s early lead and sealing the win in roughly 18 minutes. RRQ bounced back in Game 2, thanks to a stellar performance by jungler Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho.

The intensity of the first two games led analysts to predict a back-and-forth battle in the subsequent rounds. Instead, Onic PH dominated Games 3 to 5 with superior draft strategies.

RRQ had a strong chance to extend the series in Game 5 but faltered by failing to close out the match quickly. And that one tiny mistake was enough for Onic PH’s superstar, Grant “Kelra” Pillas, to seize the late game moment with a crucial team fight victory and a last-minute Lord steal, buying his team enough time to burst through RRQ’s defenses and destroy their base.

Onic PH will take home the grand prize of $80,000. The final serves as a critical learning opportunity for RRQ to refine their performance ahead of the resumption of MPL ID this week.
