Onic ID Yeb Defends Adi from Critics Remarks

Onic ID’s interim coach, Paul “Yeb” Denver, who joined just before the start of the second half of MPL ID Season 15, has recently addressed the negative comments directed at his colleague, Adi “Adi” Asyauri.

As reported, Yeb was appointed as the temporary head coach until the end of MPL ID Season 15, with Adi now supporting the team as an analyst. And the strategic shift quickly paid off as Yeb’s tactics led the Yellow Porcupine squad through two challenging matches against Team Liquid ID and RRQ Hoshi in Week 6 (4/5).

This prompted MPL ID viewers to compare Yeb’s tactical quality with Adi’s, with most of them blaming Adi for Onic’s earlier performance decline. The legendary Filipino coach chose to defuse tensions, stressing that he and Adi are equal.

“There’s no difference between me and Adi. When I wasn’t around, he always handled things on his own,” Yeb said at MPL ID.

With three weeks of matches remaining, Onic has the potential to secure an Upper Bracket spot if they maintain their current momentum. Yeb’s return has undoubtedly signals a warning to rival teams who may have underestimated Onic prior to the second half of the season.
