Onic ID Secures Spot at MSC x EWC 2025

The Onic ID’s hype train is up and running as the Sky King just secured victory in today’s Royal Derby against RRQ Hoshi, advancing to the finals and clinching their spot at next month’s MSC x EWC 2025 in Saudi Arabia.

Heading into the match, viewers anticipated an intense battle with a close final score. However, Onic closed out the prestigious series 3-1 with an effective strategy.

The opening three games were fiercely competitive: The Yellow Porcupines faced early-game difficulties and relied on patient play, executing a reverse sweep to secure Game 1 after 20 minutes. A similar scenario happened in Game 2, where Onic once again played a waiting game, capitalizing on RRQ’s error to close out the round after over 16 minutes.

Game 3 marked a significant moment for RRQ, as they matched Onic’s intensity from the early game onwards. Pressure from RRQ jungler Arthur “Sutsujin” Sunarkho finally paid off at the 17:44 mark, disrupting Onic’s formation around the Lord and creating an opportunity for RRQ to swiftly destroy the enemy base.

Unfortunately for RRQ, this victory was short-lived. Onic decisively ended RRQ’s resistance in Game 4. Despite a slow start, Onic seized a crucial opportunity that propelled them towards an unstoppable late-game advantage, sealing the 15-10 victory after approximately 15 minutes and dropping RRQ down to the lower bracket.

As it stands, Onic has locked in their finals berth. They now await the outcome of tomorrow’s Lower Bracket Final between RRQ Hoshi and Geek Fam to determine their last match.
