Onic ID Sanz Brushes Off Rival’s Snide

Onic ID’s star Gilang “Sanz” has responded to rival Hajirin “Rinz” Arafat’s recent snarky comments that claimed his team was simply unlucky when they lost to Onic in the MPL ID Season 15 finals.

In a video made available on RRQ’s channel, Rinz stated that Onic ID wasn’t that good and argued they lost due to internal mistakes, specifically failing to capitalize on crucial early games in the finals.

Rinz also downplayed Onic ID as the main challenge for the upcoming MSC x EWC 2025, instead highlighting other big teams like Team Liquid ID, Onic PH, and Selangor Red Giants OG. MPL ID viewers and Onic fans quickly saw this as an unprofessional gesture.

In contrast, Sanz did not take it seriously and sarcastically replied during his recent livestream session. He believes that the community is mature enough to recognize who truly deserved the GOAT status in the MPL ID scene.

“Whatever guys. I’m tired of it. Just let him be. Seems like he’s (Rinz) really the best around. Yeah, whatever.”

Both players will continue their campaigns in the EWC 2025 group stage starting July 23rd, where they’re considered top contenders to reach the playoffs.
