Onic ID Reverse Sweeps CFU Gaming to Win MSC 2025 Opener

Onic ID kicked off their MSC 2025 Group A campaign with a 2-1 win over CFU Gaming.

The match shocked the Yellow Porcupines’ ardent fans, as they suffered a heavy loss early on. However, coach Paul “Yeb” Denver’s squad was unfazed and convincingly turning things around in the next two rounds.

Game 1 saw CFU dominate every lane, closing out an easy win in just 11 minutes. Onic then adjusted their strategy for Game 2, using their late-game power spike to counter CFU’s aggression and tie the series.

In the decider, Onic picked their signature draft and gave CFU a taste of their own medicine. With little resistance, impressive plays from rookie Clayton “Savero” Adrielo helped his team dominate every lane,secured the victory in only 10 minutes.

This victory sends Onic to the Group A Upper Bracket final, where they’ll face MPL Philippines powerhouse Team Liquid on July 25th. The Dark Horse just won their opening match against Ultra Legends.
