Following success with their MLBB, Pokémon Unite, and Honor of Kings teams, Onic Esports is reportedly preparing to expand into other esports competitions soon.

In a recent exclusive interview with GGWP, Onic CEO Justin Widjaja stated the team is ready to expand further by launching new divisions to compete against teams that regularly participate in international circuits.

Notably, Justin specifically mentioned their interest in entering CS2, considering Europe as their target region due to their major history and teams. However, no specific timeline or concrete plan was provided.

Additionally, Onic might potentially reopen their Valorant division, which was shut down in 2022. Given the franchise’s current growth and popularity, especially in the Pacific region, they likely won’t miss this chance to attract new fans.

Reflecting on the success of the Yellow Porcupines brand in Indonesia and the Philippines, they likely have solid plans for this expansion and the potential to become Asia’s next major esports giant.
