Omar Berrada sets Manchester United’s double title target for 2028

Omar Berrada sets Manchester United’s double title target for 2028

Omar Berrada, Manchester United’s CEO, has confirmed the club’s target to win both the Premier League and Women’s Super League in 2028 — coinciding with the club’s 150th anniversary celebration.

The current situation is far from ideal — the men’s team recorded their worst season since 1973-74 finishing 15th in the Premier League and failing to qualify for European competition, while the women’s team finished third in the WSL.

“It’s about establishing a series of targets within a timeframe so we can focus our efforts and energy on that goal,” said Berrada. “Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course.”

Berrada, who joined from Manchester City about 1.5 years ago, believes change can happen quickly — he plans to use two to three transfer windows to build a team capable of competing for the Premier League title.
