Olivier Giroud leaves MLS to return to French League

Olivier Giroud – the veteran striker approaching age 39 – has made the decision to leave Major League Soccer and return to French League.

The former AC Milan forward joined Los Angeles FC after concluding the 2023-2024 season in Serie A – marking his first adventure outside the European continent.

During his stint with Los Angeles FC, the French striker posted respectable statistics – scoring 5 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions.

Giroud’s final achievement with the American club was securing the 2024 US Open Cup trophy – adding to his extensive collection of career titles.
