Oliver Rowland secures Formula E title after fourth place finish in Berlin

Oliver Rowland made history by securing the 2024-25 Formula E championship title after finishing fourth at the Berlin E-Prix. The Nissan driver clinched the title with two races remaining in London.

His main rival, Pascal Wehrlein — the defending champion — had to settle for 16th position, ending his chances of retaining the title. Rowland maintained his position at the front of the pack — particularly during a full course yellow period in the final lap.

Rowland’s dominance throughout the season was evident with his victories across various circuits — Mexico, Jeddah, Monaco, and Tokyo. This consistency proved key in outperforming Wehrlein.

Nick Cassidy delivered a stunning performance to win the race from 20th position, completing a double victory for Jaguar after Mitch Evans won on Saturday. The remaining podium positions were filled by Jake Dennis in second and Jean-Eric Vergne in third.
