Ole Romeny delivered a stellar performance as Indonesia faced Bahrain in the 2026 World Cup qualification match for the Asian zone at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

The 24-year-old striker — who earned a starting position — scored the decisive lone goal in Indonesia’s 1-0 victory at the 24th minute after converting an assist from Marselino Ferdinan.

“The celebration means to keep your head high,” explained Romeny, who celebrated his goal with his trademark gesture of placing the back of his hand under his chin.

“We continue to work hard and maintain self-confidence,” he added.

This marks Romeny’s second goal for the Indonesian national team — before he returns to focus on his club duties.
