Ogier adds Rally Finland to 2025 WRC schedule after skipping Estonia

Sebastien Ogier has announced his decision to add Rally Finland to his part-time 2025 World Rally Championship (WRC) schedule — after opting to skip Rally Estonia this month.

The French driver will join Toyota’s lineup consisting of:

  • Kalle Rovanpera
  • Elfyn Evans
  • Takamoto Katsuta
  • Sami Pajari

“My summer will actually not be as free as initially planned. I had already been thinking for a while that doing Rally Finland again would be something nice, as obviously last year was a great rally for me with my second win up there,” Ogier stated via a video message on social media.

The eight-time world champion currently sits second in the standings — just nine points behind teammate Elfyn Evans, despite missing Rally Sweden and Safari Rally Kenya. His performance this season has been impressive with three victories in Monte Carlo, Portugal, and Sardinia, plus two second-place finishes in the Canary Islands and Greece.

After Rally Finland, Ogier may appear in Rally Chile this September — but emphasizes he won’t repeat last year’s extended schedule when he competed in 10 of 13 rounds.
