NPC Indonesia Targets Three Golds at Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics

NPC Indonesia Targets Three Golds at Los Angeles 2028 Paralympics

Senny Marbun, Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Indonesia (NPC Indonesia), has officially set a target of three gold medals for Indonesia at the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games. The announcement was made during the opening of the National Working Meeting (Rakernas) held in Solo.

Achievements in past Paralympics build confidence

Indonesia’s ambition is backed by its successful performances in previous editions. The nation won two gold medals in para badminton at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, and followed it up with one gold medal in the same discipline at the Paris 2024 Paralympics.

The meeting, which runs until May 22, brings together representatives from 32 provinces and carries the theme: “Regeneration Towards Los Angeles Paralympics.”

“Hopefully, God will grant us permission to win three golds at Los Angeles 2028,” said Senny Marbun.

Breaking Limits: NPC’s talent scouting initiative

To support this goal, NPC Indonesia is actively running the “Breaking Limits” talent search program in six provinces. Through this initiative, the talent team identifies athletes and recommends appropriate sports based on their physical capabilities and classification categories.
