Nova Arianto, Indonesia’s U-17 national team coach, has revealed several issues facing his team ahead of the U-17 World Cup 2025 — a tournament that will present a major challenge for the Garuda Asia squad.

The Indonesian national team recently concluded their journey in the U-17 Asian Cup 2025 after suffering a heavy 0-6 defeat to North Korea in the quarter-finals — a surprising result given their previously positive performances.

During the Asian Cup tournament, Nova Arianto‘s charges recorded promising statistics — three victories and one defeat, with a total of seven goals scored and seven conceded across four matches.

Despite elimination in the quarter-finals, the Garuda Asia team’s achievement still yielded sweet results — a ticket to the U-17 World Cup 2025 was secured thanks to their success in reaching the last eight of the Asian Cup.

With the global stage approaching, Nova Arianto emphasized the need for improved preparation, including strengthening the squad’s physical endurance, tactical awareness, and mental resilience to compete effectively against the world’s elite youth teams.
