Nova Arianto reveals reasons for two key players’ absence from U-17 national team camp

According to Bolasport.com, coach Nova Arianto has provided explanation regarding the absence of two key Indonesia U-17 national team players — Zahaby Gholy and Mathew Baker from the training camp to be held in Bali.

The training camp involving 34 players is scheduled to run from July 7 to August 10, 2025 — in preparation for the 2025 U-17 World Cup.

Mathew Baker remains committed to Melbourne City’s agenda and will only join in August. Meanwhile, Zahaby Gholy has received an opportunity to represent Liga Indonesia Allstar in the 2025 President’s Cup tournament.

Both players were previously Nova Arianto’s mainstays when Indonesia U-17 national team competed in the 2025 Asian Cup U-17.
