North Korea suffers 0-3 defeat to Uzbekistan in U-17 Asian Cup semifinal

According to Bolasport.com, North Korea suffered a heavy 0-3 defeat against Uzbekistan in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup semifinal match at King Fahd Sports City Stadium, Taif.

Uzbekistan — who dominated from the start — took the lead through Khasanov’s goal in the 31st minute. The situation worsened for North Korea when Kang Myong Bom received a red card in the 41st minute.

Playing with a numerical advantage, Uzbekistan added two more goals in the second half — Rustamov scored in the 62nd minute, and Shukurullaev sealed the victory three minutes later.

North Korea’s coach, O Thae Song, acknowledged his team’s struggle against Uzbekistan’s gameplay, especially after being reduced to 10 men on the field.
