According to the AFC official website, the Indonesia U-17 national team suffered a crushing 0-6 defeat against North Korea in the AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2025 quarter-final match on Monday night.

The defeat came as a major surprise — Indonesia, who emerged as Group C winners with a perfect record, had to surrender to North Korea, who only finished as Group D runners-up with five points.

The match was one-sided, with North Korea scoring two goals in the first half — followed by four additional goals in the second half without any response from the Young Garuda team.

“The team was a bit nervous facing Indonesia because they won all three group stage matches,” revealed coach O Thae Song after the match.

Despite being favorites, Indonesia struggled to create chances and lacked defensive cohesion—while North Korea capitalized on every opportunity with clinical precision. The result sends North Korea into the semi-finals, ending Indonesia’s promising campaign.
