Norris Leads Final Austrian GP Practice as McLaren Shows Dominance

Lando Norris continues his impressive performance in the final Austrian GP practice session — setting the best time of 1:04.324 at the Spielberg Circuit.

His McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri secured second place, just one-tenth of a second behind. Defending champion Max Verstappen took third position, trailing Norris by 0.210 seconds.

Cool track conditions at the session start led several drivers to wait in their garages. Multiple incidents occurred throughout the session:

  • Norris ran wide several times
  • Piastri nearly spun at Turn 9
  • Hadjar performed a 360-degree spin at the final corner
  • Tsunoda lost control at Turn 1 exit
  • Verstappen spun in the closing stages

Ferrari showed improvement compared to their disappointing performance yesterday — Charles Leclerc finished fourth followed by Lewis Hamilton. Mercedes duo George Russell and Kimi Antonelli took sixth and seventh positions, while Lance Stroll, Yuki Tsunoda, and Gabriel Bortoleto completed the top ten.
