Parivision veteran Volodymyr “no[o]ne” Minenko has shared his views on the shifting Dota 2 meta in the competitive scene, which heavily influenced by the latest patch 7.38c.

During a recent interview at ESL One Raleigh 2025, no[o]ne expressed that patch 7.38c has introduced drastic changes, leaving midlane players confused. He admitted struggling to perform optimally under this update:

“I don’t know how it happened, but it seems like mid has become a **** position again. Nowadays I need to help buff a four, an offlaner or a carry for unknown reasons.”

The Ukrainian player further stated that current midlane hero pool is even more limited than support options. He argued that only certain heroes are now viable for competitive play, while most others have fallen off compared to the previous meta.

Despite these challenges, no[o]ne and his Parivision mates continue to dominate, showcasing an outstanding performance in the ESL One Raleigh 2025 group stage, finished first with a massive 9-1 score. Now set to face Tundra Esports tonight, they’re heavily favored to secure a spot in the upper bracket finals.
