Nolan Siegel returns to racing after Iowa Speedway crash

Nolan Siegel has been cleared to return to racing after a serious crash at Iowa Speedway — the 20-year-old driver lost control of his car while exiting Turn 4 on lap 246.

The incident during the Synk 275 race resulted in Siegel suffering a mild concussion and damaging the SAFER barrier — forcing him to miss the Farm to Fresh 275 race the following day.

Nolan has been cleared by the IndyCar Medical Team to drive this weekend in Toronto,” Arrow McLaren confirmed. “He will pilot the No. 6 SmartStop Arrow McLaren Chevy in their first primary sponsorship race of the season.”

Before the accident, the California native showed promising performance with three consecutive top-10 starts — his best result this season being eighth place at Road America.

Currently, Siegel sits 21st in the standings with 156 points, six points ahead of rookie Louis Foster. Should Siegel be unable to complete the weekend, Linus Lundqvist will stand by as reserve driver.
