NOC Indonesia Holds Annual Member Meeting with Olympic Gold Medals Ceremony

The Indonesian Olympic Committee (NOC Indonesia) held its 2025 Annual Member Meeting in Senayan, Jakarta, with the theme “Together for Excellence,” aiming to promote collaboration in advancing national sports achievements.

The opening ceremony featured a deeply symbolic procession – the placement of three Olympic gold medals by Maman Abdurrahman as the Minister of SMEs, Sultan Bachtiar Najmudin as the Chairman of the Regional Representatives Council, and Taufik Hidayat, serving as Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports.

“I often say that our nation is increasingly on the move, becoming more recognized day by day. The characteristic is Indonesia’s sports revival,” stated Sultan Bachtiar Najmudin in his remarks.

The three gold medals used in the ceremony were authentic Olympic gold medals from champions, representing three fundamental Olympic values:

  1. Friendship

  2. Excellence

  3. Respect

In his speech, Taufik Hidayat emphasized that this meeting serves as a strategic momentum to enhance the national team’s synergy – particularly in preparation for this year’s SEA Games in Thailand and the Los Angeles Olympics three years from now.
