Nina Silvana earns doctorate with dissertation on sports arbitration

Nina Silvana, wife of Persija Jakarta Director Mohamad Prapanca, has earned her doctoral degree from the Law Doctoral Program at Pancasila University — a notable achievement in Indonesian academic and sports circles.

The dissertation, defended at the Lenteng Agung campus, focuses on strengthening the Indonesian Sports Arbitration Body (BAKI) — emphasizing the implementation of legal certainty principles in national sports governance.

Her interest in this topic emerged from deep observation of Indonesian sports conditions, particularly football which continues to face various challenges.

“From there, my aspiration was to research and address dispute issues that have lacked clarity and certainty,” stated Nina Silvana.

The research was motivated by several concerns in Indonesian sports:

  • Suboptimal national football achievements
  • Lack of professionalism in various sports federations
  • Emergence of dualism cases in sports organizations
