Team Falcons ace Nikola “Niko” Kovac has openly responded to speculation about G2 Esports’ Ilya “m0NESY” Osipov potentially joining his squad, expressing enthusiasm for the move and hinting at his eagerness to reunite with the Russian CS2 prodigy.

In a recent HLTV interview, Niko confirmed he was aware of ongoing talks regarding m0NESY’s transfer ahead of the upcoming BLAST.tv 2025 season, set to kick off in June. The Bosnian admitted he’d even voiced his desire to team up with the 19-year-old AWPer to his Falcons mates.

“We had been really close and I would like to play with him (m0NESY) again. I said that to everyone on the team the first moment we created this roster. So yeah, who knows? Maybe we team up again.”

The duo previously shared the server for G2 Esports from 2022 to early 2025, dominating triple A tournaments like the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 in Abu Dhabi and Intel Extreme Masters series in 2023. Their synergy became a hallmark of G2’s prime, earning praise from fans and pundits alike.

Recent reports suggest Falcons are prepared to break the bank for m0NESY, offering a salary package exceeding G2’s 2022 acquisition fee when they signed him from NaVi. If that happened, this transfer would mark one of CS2’s most expensive roster moves in recent years.
